Ava tries to get Olivia out of depression and lies to Olivia that she is pregnant, but Olivia still refuses to eat. Harley tells Natalia that she arranged a service for Gus because everyone needs a chance to say goodbye to Gus. Rafe breaks things off with Daisy because Natalia needs him right now. Everyone gathers together for a memorial service for Gus.

04.03.08 Why Does She Get to Live
Olivia comes out of surgery, and before she can even speak, she wants to know about Gus. Natalia and Josh talk as she is struggling with the fact that Olivia gets a second chance and Gus had to die to give her one. Reva tells a disbelieving Olivia that Gus died. Olivia starts plummeting into depression and doesn’t react to Emma or Ava.
04.02.08 He Died The Way He Lived
Harley and Natalia share an emotional conversation about Gus, and Harley says that she takes comfort that Gus died in the way he lived, sacrificing for others. Alan finds out that Olivia is getting Gus’ heart. Harley, Natalia, Buzz and the kids paint Harley’s house.
04.01.08 The Signs Aren’t Even That Subtle
Gus dies in Natalia’s and Harley’s arms. Everyone is trying to cope with the loss, and Olivia is starting to fade away. Because she believes that that’s what Gus would have wanted, Natalia decides to give Olivia Gus’ heart.
