Olivia suffers from a case of an extreme hangover, when Frank shows up and takes Natalia to tell Rafe about the engagement. Olivia is in shock when Phillip stops by to thank her for letting Emma testify on his behalf. Olivia meets sister Anne and asks her how she can learn to not want what she can’t have. When Frank and Natalia come back, Olivia tells them that she wants to throw them an engagement party.

03.27.09 Frank and Natalia Announce Engagement, Olivia Goes Out Drinking
Olivia watches Frank slip a ring on Natalia finger and then toasts to a happy couple. Natalia spends a day catching up with her future in-laws, while Olivia hits the bottle and ends up drinking with Shayne and Edmund. Unbeknownst to both of them, Emma testifies at Phillip’s trial.
03.26.09 The Near-Kiss, Natalia Accepts Frank’s Proposal
While checking out real estate, Olivia’s beeper goes off indicating that there is something wrong with her pacemaker and Natalia takes Olivia to the hospital. At the hospital, Natalia confesses to a sedated Olivia that she makes her happy and gently touches her face, leaning in for a kiss. Olivia wakes up unexpectedly and a flustered Natalia rushes off. Emma and Jane run into Phillip at Company. Olivia confesses to Doris that she woke up on purpose because she is afraid of what it would mean for her and Natalia to kiss. Natalia is confused and torn when Olivia tells her that she should marry Frank. She calls Frank over and after a hesitation tells him that she thinks they should get married. Olivia fights back the tears as she congratulates Natalia and Frank on their engagement.
03.25.09 You Are So Beautiful/Olivia Starts Househunting
Natalia is upset to discover that Olivia is searching for a new place to live but Olivia explains that she needs to protect herself in case Natalia says ‘yes’ to Frank. Natalia brings some food for Marina and Mallet and admits to Reva and her and Frank are sort of dating. Olivia runs into Josh at the bar and the two flirt before both admitting they want the real thing.
03.24.09 The Christening
Natalia is making food for Henry’s Christening and Olivia suggests that Natalia must have already decided to say ‘yes’ to Frank. At the Christening, Natalia fits right in with the Coopers and saves the day when she convinces Daisy to be Henry’s Godmother. Frank gushes over Natalia and Olivia watches sadly at how happy Natalia looks among the Coopers.
03.16.09 There She Was Wearing a Hat/Blackmailing Doris Wolfe
Noticing Doris flirt with a female bartender, Olivia comes up with a plan to get Doris to move up Phillip’s trial date. She tells Natalia about running into Doris in a gay bar, which makes Natalia wonder what Olivia was doing there. Olivia and Natalia tell Doris to move up Phillip’s trial date or they will let her secret slip.
03.13.09 Emma Disappears, Olivia Gets Her Gun
Olivia is stricken by panic when Emma is nowhere to be found, and Natalia watches in horror as Olivia loads her gun. Natalia manages to calm Olivia down and they split up to go look for Emma. Emma is found with Remy in the park, and Natalia and Olivia agree to work out a plan to keep Phillip away from Emma.
03.11.09 Frank’s Proposal/Ladies Night at Farley’s
Natalia is shocked by Frank’s proposal but Frank is very certain that he wants to be with Natalia. Olivia stumbles onto a ladies’ night at Farley’s where she runs into no one other but Springfield’s mayor. Natalia admits to Olivia that she couldn’t give Frank an answer and the two women share an emotional conversation.

03.10.09 Frank Proposes To Natalia
Olivia catches Emma trying to sneak out of the house late at night and go see Phillip. Natalia drops off cookies for Frank at the police station and then has to put up with Remy making fun of her for sleeping with Frank. Olivia and Natalia talk about Emma and Natalia promises that they will figure it out together. The women’s alone time is interrupted by the arrival of Frank who drops on one knee and proposes to Natalia.
03.04.09 Olivia Almost Confesses, A Game of Pool
Olivia comforts Natalia who is afraid that God hates her for being a hypocrite. Olivia admits that she hasn’t been honest with Natalia and almost professes her feelings when they are interrupted by Jeffrey. Josh stops by shortly after and Natalia suggests that they all go out to play pool. After Natalia surprises everyone with her pool skills, Olivia tries to start their earlier conversation again but can’t because Emma arrives excited that Phillip is back in town.
