Olivia and Jeffrey run into each other at the chapel and lament over the fact that Ava is suffering and Alan walks away from a crime. Natalia sees Olivia at the Beacon and Olivia is very on edge because of Ava. Natalia suggests that maybe everything that’s happening to them is part of this big plan that they are not supposed to understand just yet. Olivia becomes really upset and goes off on Natalia about being so naive. Olivia shows up at Alan’s and yells at him for filling everyone’s head with his visions. Alan suggests that Olivia wants to believe but is scared.

Natalia is shocked when Frank confesses that Harley and Rafe were spotted by a shooter but got away. Alan tells Natalia that he is free from charges in Tammy’s case so he can help Rafe. Natalia calls Rafe and asks him to come home.
08.07.08 Sometimes People Who We Love Just Can’t Be Here
Olivia reaches out to Jeffrey who refuses to deal with what happened and buries himself in Tammy’s case. Natalia continues to struggle with whether to believe in Alan’s visions or not. Alan tells Natalia that in his visions Gus wants Rafe to come home, and that he will be safe in Springfield. Olivia breaks down in front of Natalia and as she holds baby Peyton and confesses that she just doesn’t know what to do anymore. Natalia tells Olivia about Alan’s vision and Olivia begs Natalia to really think what she is putting her faith in.

Alan continues to gather sad rich widows around him with the promise of giving them hope and talking about his visitions of Gus. Natalia feels drawn to that and Olivia warns her to stay away from Alan. Olivia calls Alan out on offering false hope to all those people, but Alan insists that this is real.

Everyone gathers at Josh’s and Cassie’s farmhouse to celebrate the 4th of July. Natalia confesses to Alan that she feels out of place. Remy finds out from Lizzie about Ava going to a fertility clinic and later tells Ava how disappointed he is in her for lying.
07.01.08 Jeffrey Reveals Ava’s Secret
Ava and Bill sign the papers in preparation for their wedding. Jeffrey remains concerned over Bill’s feelings for Ava. Ava has a pregnancy scare and Remy takes care of her. Olivia tells Remy to stay away from Ava. Jeffrey tells Lizzie about Ava’s secret – the baby is not Bill’s and tells her to do what she wants with that information.

Natalia, Alan, and Frank are desperate to find Rafe. Buzz finally admits to Frank that Harley took Rafe out of the country. Olivia is there for distraught Ava as they are waiting for the news on Jeffrey’s surgery. Natalia is furious when Frank tells her that Harley took Rafe on the run and is determined to go find them. Natalia asks Olivia for money and though Olivia at first says no, she eventually comes through for Natalia.

05.26.08 Having This Gift Makes Me Want To Share It
Jeffrey’s impassioned speech to US attorney’s office about Gus falls on deaf ears. Mallet and Jeffrey argue over what to do next and Jeffrey decides to make a statement telling the truth about Gus as a way to save Gus’ reputation and explain that Gus did it to help the people in his life. Olivia finally manages to convince Natalia to take Gus’ house back from her. Harley discovers why Gus took the bribes. Rafe learns about Jeffrey’s plans to make a statement about Gus and shows up in the courtroom, pointing Gus’ gun at Jeffrey.

05.21.08 We Are Never Going to be Really Happy Here
Alan tells Rafe about his dream about Gus and as Rafe follows the clues in Alan’s dream, he finds Gus’ old baseball jacket with five hundred and twelve twenty dollar bills. Olivia rushes to Ava’s side at the hospital because Ava had a miscarriage scare. As Ava laments about her troubles with Bill, Olivia offers that they leave town together with Emma. Rafe shows Olivia the ten thousand dollars and becomes more convinced that Gus is still here, looking out for him. Bill asks Ava to move in with him and she agrees.

05.20.08 Don’t Turn This Into a Movie of the Week
Alan takes a tumble down the stairs at Company just as the roof caves in and Alan magically escapes the injury. Frank and Natalia are picking up a baseball glove for Rafe when Natalia gets a strange call from Olivia. Later, Natalia finds Olivia on the bathroom floor of her hotel room with an empty bottle of pills and assumes that Olivia tried to kill herself. Allan tells Olivia and Natalia that he believes that Gus saved him on the stairs and Gus is still here. Natalia finds herself taking in Alan’s words, while Olivia gets really angry and emotional, shouting out that Gus is dead.
