Frank and Blake are surprised and pleased to discover they were talking to each other through the dating website. Olivia and Natalia talk about their happiness and Olivia mentions that she feels bad for Frank and wants to make sure that he knows how important he is in their baby’s life. Olivia and Natalia inform Frank that they want to name the baby Francesca after him. One year later, Rafe returns home from the Army. Natalia introduces Rafe to his little sister.

09.14.09 – The Double Wedding
After seeing Emma and Otalia together, Phillip and Beth comment on how “close” they are with knowing smiles. On the way to the wedding, Otalia and Emma invite Rafe to attend with them. Although he had made other arrangements, Rafe softens and tells Natalia he’ll take things “one step at a time.” Otalia and Emma visit Alan at the hospital, where he acknowledges how happy their family is. Doris brings a date to the wedding; Ashlee is thrilled. At the wedding, Reva notes how happy Olivia and Natalia are; Josh informs her that they’re a couple. The two couples exchange vows.
09.10.09 Olivia and Natalia Tell Emma/Move In Day
Olivia makes arrangements for the movers for the afternoon, but first Olivia and Natalia need to tell Emma. Rafe and Ashlee talk about their Moms being gay. Olivia and Natalia gently break the news to Emma who is really excited to be moving back into the Farmhouse and for Natalia to be her Mommy. Frank, Rafe, and Blake surprise Olivia and Natalia by showing up to help with the moving. Olivia and Natalia get all moved in with the help of many of their friends and the day ends on a high note with everyone playing softball.
09.03.09 – Phillip Tells Olivia and Emma He’s Dying
Natalia invites Olivia to the sonogram but Olivia declines. At Company, Natalia reminds Frank of the sonogram appointment. Frank and Olivia talk, and Frank encourages Olivia to attend. Alan runs into Natalia at the hospital and tells Natalia that Phillip is dying. Meanwhile, Phillip tells Olivia and Emma the sad news. Natalia tells Doris that she will wait for Olivia to come back to her, because Olivia is the love of her life. Later, Emma bakes cookies with Natalia for Phillip.
08.12.09 – We Don’t Have To Like Each Other
Truths are revealed, secrets are kept before Olivia and Doris have a heart to heart concerning their lives and what they have and what they don’t.
07.24.09 I Would Have Done the Same
Ava is back for Jeffery’s memorial service. Doris officiates the service and everyone speaks a memory of Jeffrey as they place a memento in the box. Doris talks about how Jeffrey was in and out of the courtroom and places a gavel into the box. Rafe speaks about Jeffrey writing letters of reccomendation to facilitate his parole and places the letters in the box. Olivia places a photo of Ava and asks that Reva give one of Colin so that both of Jeffrey’s children are represented. Ava speaks about her father. Reva angrily confronts the photo of Jeffrey about leaving her and not letting her say goodbye. Phillip and Olivia talk about saying goodbye to the person you love.
07.23.09 Everyone Deserves A Chance to Say Goodbye
Rafe and Olivia have an argument over Natalia’s leaving. Olivia calls Ava and finds out that she’s flying in for Jeffrey’s memorial service. Rafe tells Ashlee that his mom is in love with another woman. Ashlee tells Doris that it’s an awful thing to keep something so big from a child.
07.09.09 “Naaattaaallliiiiiaaaaaaaaa”
Olivia and Doris take a road trip tour of catholic retreats in search of Natalia. Doris and Olivia bond. Olivia has her A Streetcar Named Desire moment before deciding that she doesn’t want to be pathetic and heading the car back toward Springfield.
07.01.09 Wishing and Hoping and Thinking and Praying, Planning and Dreaming
Natalia waits to get the results of her pregnancy test. She helps Olivia and Emma make 4th of July themed rice crispy treats to take to the Bauer BBQ. Later, Olivia talks to Doris about their plans for going to the BBQ ‘together’ together. While Blake goes with Natalia get a medical pregnancy test at Cedars.
06.29.09 Blake Wonders If Natalia is Pregnant
Natalia continues not to feel well and has no idea what could be wrong with her. Father Ray stops by to pick up the cookies Natalia made for the church and suggests that maybe Natalia’s bad health is due to the disagreement between her current lifestyle choices and her values. Natalia argues with Father Ray, and at Towers, Olivia and Doris talk about difficulty coming out to the children. Olivia runs into Rafe and tells him that what he is doing to his mother is wrong. While working with Blake, Natalia feels sick again and Blake says that if she didn’t know better, she would think Natalia was pregnant.
