Rafe demands to know the truth about what’s going on with Olivia and Natalia, and Natalia finally realizes that he knows. Olivia and Emma leave to give Natalia and Rafe space. Rafe and Natalia have a painful discussion where Natalia admits that she is in love with Olivia and wants all of them to be a family. Rafe pleads with Natalia to let it all go, and when she says she won’t he gets enraged and leaves. Rafe asks Frank if he could stay with him for a while. Olivia laments to Doris about what happened with Rafe. She then comes back to see Natalia and Natalia admits that she doesn’t know what it all means for them.

06.01.09 Rafe Applies to Be a Police Officer
Natalia finds Rafe at Gus’ memorial and he admits to his mother that he wants to honour his Dad’s memory and apply to be a police officer. Frank tells a disappointed Rafe that since he has a criminal record, he could never be a cop. Rafe finds himself unable to tell Natalia the truth and lies that they put him on a waiting list. Olivia offers to help Rafe with an interim job but Rafe appears disinterested. He admits to Olivia that he could never be a police officer and when she starts pushing him to tell Natalia the truth, he tells her to stay out of it.

05.12.09 – Buzz Confronts Natalia
Natalia makes breakfast for Emma. Natalia runs into Buzz and he harshly says to her that she can’t just follow her heart to the altar then change her mind and pretend it didn’t happen. Doris notices how rattled Natalia seems and explains that reality bites but it is all part of coming out. Doris says she owed Frank a favor and will be petitioning to get Rafe a new hearing. Natalia leaves a message for Olivia and admits to her that it’s hard without her there and she wants her to come home.
05.04.09 – Frank Warns Olivia
Frank wakes up in his hospital bed and sees Natalia and Olivia sleeping close together, keeping vigil. Frank hauls himself up and heads out as Olivia follows him. Frank warns Olivia to get out of Natalia’s life before she ruins it. Natalia sees the confrontation and advises him not to blame Olivia. Natalia comes clean and stands up for both Olivia and herself. Frank fights his anger and confusion. Frank admits to Rafe that he and Natalia weren’t meant to be but hopes they can stay friends. Natalia and Olivia know that they should be ready when word gets out about them and decide their weekend away will be a sort of test run.
04.30.09 Olivia and Natalia Plan A Trip / Doris Tells Frank
Olivia goes to Natalia’s to make a peanutbutter and banana sandwich for Emma’s lunch. Together they decide to get away from Springfield to try to figure things out. Meanwhile, Doris tells Frank that Natalia has the hots for Olivia. He shows up at the farmhouse after getting into a fight with Doris’ bodyguards. Olivia and Natalia take Frank to the hospital where he sees Olivia comfort Natalia.

04.17.09 The Gazebo Confession
Olivia finds Natalia at the Gazebo and tries to take her back to the church. Natalia admits she can’t go back to the church, because she doesn’t love Frank, she loves Olivia.
04.16.09 The Wedding
Doris starts the wedding with a speech about love, then, fakes a phone call to give Olivia a chance to stop the wedding. Olivia refuses, and says she’s already confessed her love, but Natalia has chosen Frank. Doris proceeds with the ceremony, but Natalia has a hard time making it through her vows.
04.15.09 The Graveside Confession – Part Two
Olivia tells Natalia she’s in love with her, but she can’t offer her what Frank can. They show up at the Church ready to get the wedding started. Natalia prays for God to not abandon her before she walks down the aisle.

04.13.09 The Wedding Gets Moved Up
Emma tells Olivia that Natalia is sad. Olivia finds Natalia crying and saying she has to give back the wedding dress, because she can’t have the one thing that she wants. Frank surprises Natalia by getting Frank out of jail early for the wedding. Olivia and Doris go to Towers for a drink. Doris can’t believe Olivia is going to let Natalia marry Frank without telling her how she feels. Rafe gives Frank his father’s police badge. Natalia decides they shouldn’t wait any longer to be a family, and tells Frank they should get married later that day.
03.26.09 The Near-Kiss, Natalia Accepts Frank’s Proposal
While checking out real estate, Olivia’s beeper goes off indicating that there is something wrong with her pacemaker and Natalia takes Olivia to the hospital. At the hospital, Natalia confesses to a sedated Olivia that she makes her happy and gently touches her face, leaning in for a kiss. Olivia wakes up unexpectedly and a flustered Natalia rushes off. Emma and Jane run into Phillip at Company. Olivia confesses to Doris that she woke up on purpose because she is afraid of what it would mean for her and Natalia to kiss. Natalia is confused and torn when Olivia tells her that she should marry Frank. She calls Frank over and after a hesitation tells him that she thinks they should get married. Olivia fights back the tears as she congratulates Natalia and Frank on their engagement.
