Ava is surprised and sad that Bill doesn’t want to write his own vows but wants to pull them from the internet sites. Jeffrey expresses his concern over Ava to Olivia. Bill asks Jeffrey for Ava’s hand in marriage and Jeffrey points out Bill’s relationship with Lizzie. Later, Jeffrey catches Bill and Lizzie in a passionate kiss. Jeffrey once again talks to Olivia but Olivia insists that Bill loves Ava, even if in a different way, and Jeffrey should be supportive.

06.13.08 You Deserve Good Things In Life
Olivia is elated for her daughter, and Ava shares with Olivia how surprised she is that Bill proposed. Remy is visibly unhappy with Ava’s choice and Lizzie has a hard time hiding her despair. Ava senses that while Bill proposed he might not have truly meant it. To calm Ava’s fears, Bill officially proposes to her at the hospital while observed by a desperate Lizzie.

After Bill offers Ava to move into the mansion with him, she convinces him to invite Olivia and Emma too. At the party at the mansion, Lizzie busts in and causes a scene. Unexpectedly to Ava, Bill announces their engagement.

06.03.08 Life Is Short and Rest Is Highly Over-Rated
Olivia worries about things working out between Ava and Bill but Ava reassures her that Bill cares for her and the baby. Jeffrey tries to cover for Rafe in front of Frank but Frank knows the truth. Olivia gives Jeffrey slippers to use while he is at the hospital, and later talks to Bill about treating Ava right.

05.21.08 We Are Never Going to be Really Happy Here
Alan tells Rafe about his dream about Gus and as Rafe follows the clues in Alan’s dream, he finds Gus’ old baseball jacket with five hundred and twelve twenty dollar bills. Olivia rushes to Ava’s side at the hospital because Ava had a miscarriage scare. As Ava laments about her troubles with Bill, Olivia offers that they leave town together with Emma. Rafe shows Olivia the ten thousand dollars and becomes more convinced that Gus is still here, looking out for him. Bill asks Ava to move in with him and she agrees.

05.06.08 This Is Our Home
Rafe questions why him and Natalia are still in Springfield now that Gus is gone. Alan stops by to see Olivia while she is in the hospital for a check-up and she admits to him that she just wants to die most of the time. Natalia tells Rafe that they are staying in town because Rafe has family there and that’s where they feel close to Gus.
11.13.07 Olivia seeks help with Phillip
Olivia talks to Lizzie about getting a gun to protect her and Emma. They argue over Phillip and whether they are safe if he returns to town. While they argue in the hallway, Bill Lewis sneaks in and drops off a stuff animal for Emma. Not knowing Bill is back in Springfield, and unable to find Gus, Olivia seeks help from Bill’s father, Billy Lewis. Later, Emma shows Olivia the stuffed animal and Olivia is again terrified that Phillip has returned to town.
