Ava is back for Jeffery’s memorial service. Doris officiates the service and everyone speaks a memory of Jeffrey as they place a memento in the box. Doris talks about how Jeffrey was in and out of the courtroom and places a gavel into the box. Rafe speaks about Jeffrey writing letters of reccomendation to facilitate his parole and places the letters in the box. Olivia places a photo of Ava and asks that Reva give one of Colin so that both of Jeffrey’s children are represented. Ava speaks about her father. Reva angrily confronts the photo of Jeffrey about leaving her and not letting her say goodbye. Phillip and Olivia talk about saying goodbye to the person you love.

11.26.08 Thanksgiving

Olivia is struggling with the knowledge that the hedge fund is gone but doesn’t have the heart to tell Natalia. Natalia is excited and wants to stop by the farmhouse before they head for the Thanksgiving dinner at Marina and Mallet’s. When Olivia finds out that Natalia hired a new lawyer for Rafe, she finally admits that the money is gone. Crushed Natalia goes to see Rafe, who comforts his mother. Olivia follows Natalia to prison and the two women share a hug.

Olivia is crushed when finds out that Ava chose not to come back to Springfield upon her release. Remy suggests a road trip to go see Ava and give her reasons for coming home.

Jeffrey visits Ava and finds her spirits very low. Reva finds Ava crying uncontrollably and realizes that Ava is going through a post-partum depression. As Ava continues to spiral deeper into depression, Jeffrey decides to send her to a clinic in Chicago. Bill and Remy deal with Ava’s departure.

Bill refuses to believe Lizzie but she convinces him it’s the truth. Ava confesses that she has feelings for Remy but she is determined to go through with her wedding. Bill confronts Ava about her lies but then determines that the wedding will still happen, because he wants the baby more than he is mad at Ava. Bill makes it clear it will be a marriage of convenience. Ava and Bill say their vows.

Olivia is worried because Jeffrey is missing as the ceremony draws near. Remy finally tells Ava that he loves her. Lizzie tells a disbelieving Bill the truth.

Olivia visits a doctor and runs into Doris, who questions Olivia helping Natalia. Mallet and Olivia check out Gus’ house and find Rafe’s baseball cap.
