Olivia and Natalia barely get Emma off to school so she can give her speech on what makes her family unique. Frank and Olivia talk at Company about how Olivia and Natalia are good for each other. Olivia coaches Frank on how to win Natalia over. Rick Tells Natalia that Olivia can’t be happy living the lowlife. Otalia arrive at the farmhouse, ready to discuss their living situation.

Rick comes to the farmhouse to give Olivia a quick checkup, and tells her she’ll be able to move out of the farmhouse and away from Natalia soon.

Saved by Remy and Natalia, Olivia comes to in the hospital. Natalia agrees to back Olivia up while she is having a pacemaker procedure done. Seeing that Natalia is nervous, Olivia insists that Natalia can do it and she is a “freaking superhero” for raising her son on her own. Natalia promises to make Olivia proud as she steps into Olivia’s shoes at the Beacon.

Rick tries to get Olivia to check into Cedars as soon as possible but she is stalling. Natalia and Olivia argue over Olivia not taking her health seriously and Olivia asks for Natalia’s help at the Beacon. Frustrated by Natalia’s lack of confidence, Olivia goes off on her and suddenly collapses.

Olivia and Natalia have a painful confrontation reeling over the fact that Olivia’s body is rejecting Gus’ heart. Natalia takes care of Emma as Olivia makes arrangements to check into the hospital.

Overwhelmed by Decker’s request to go on a business trip to Hong Kong, Olivia calls Natalia for help. Natalia helps Olivia pack but when Decker arrives, Olivia realizes she is too weak to go through with it. Natalia suggests an idea of teleconferencing Olivia in on all the meetings in Hong Kong, and Decker goes for it. Natalia takes Olivia to Cedars where after running some tests Rick has some serious news for Olivia.

Gus makes a memorial dedicated to Olivia. While Olivia is at the hospital, she gets a visit from Josh who gives her some advice and his Bible. Reva and Olivia share a conversation about death, and alone, Olivia makes a plea to God to give her a chance. Rick tells elated Ava and Jeffrey that the hospital got a lead on a heart donor for Olivia. A panicked Ava finds Olivia missing from the hospital and calls Gus who rushes to find Olivia on a motorcycle. At the hospital, everyone is shocked when a trauma victim is wheeled in and it’s Gus.

At the nail salon, Olivia tells astounded Ava that she may be has a few weeks left. Olivia and Rick talk about their heart issues and he advises her not to lose hope. Olivia has a talk with Emma and gently tells her that she is sick and there is a chance she may not come back from the hospital. Olivia promises that, even if it happens, she will never leave Emma.

Natalia finds Olivia passed out on the floor of her hotel room, and takes her to the hospital. Olivia gets a fatal diagnosis. Facing her own mortality, Olivia tells Alan that she will do what he wants and break up Gus and Natalia as long as he keeps Emma safe.
